Grabbing a croissant with coffee and walking up 5th Avenue to have breakfast at Tiffany’s was the way Audrey Hepburn once did it in the iconic movie “Breakfast At Tiffany’s”. There was truly no one more fabulous than Holly Golightly sipping on her cup of coffee while window-shopping.
Now, to step into the shops of Holly it’s not necessary to stand outside and eat like a young Audrey Hepburn once did. The Blue Box Cafe has opened on the 4th floor of the Tiffany’s & Co store to make this epic scene a reality.
Lucky for me, I was able to snag a reservation to have breakfast on my birthday! I have never felt more at home than I did on those plush Tiffany blue couches that overlooked 5th Avenue. As it was my birthday, I ended up getting a Tiffany set as a surprise!
I will say that it will not be fun to get a reservation here, as it is booked for a long time.
Although, this is something I’m sure you’d want to experience I have to say that it was not everything I thought it would be. I would say that the food didn’t meet my expectations of what I would expect from such a luxury brand.
The food was actually pretty bland and definitely not worth the money, let’s just say they should stick to jewelry. Sad to say that the only thing I actually enjoyed was the coffee. It did make for a few cute pictures though!
Have you been? Let me know about your experience.
