Every year, I love to start the Holiday season with a Christmas party. I figured I would share with you, 7 Christmas themed food ideas that I made for my party. Some of my yearly party staples are my: cookie decorating station, caprese salad wreath, festive cupcakes & much more! This year we had a blast and I want to share all of my decor with you!
Although I do have many food ideas, I also added the Christmas themed drinks that I made this year.
Cookie Decorating Station

This is definitely a Valentina Christmas staple. I love having a little cookie decorating competition and see who can decorate the cutest cookies! This is always a blast. I usually make 3-5 piping bags with different colored icing, lay out sprinkles, and other toppings for people to use. This year, I even added a cookie pen where you can write on the cookie itself.
Caprese Salad Wreath

This is not only delicious (if done right), but it’s also super cute! This was definitely a hit the night of my party. It was devoured in just an hour and a half! I’m going to share with you guys some tips & tricks on how I made it.
I bought a bunch of pearl mozzarella balls and tiny tomatoes. All you have to do is turn them into little kabobs and form them into a wreath. After you do that, I like to drizzle olive oil and vinegar with some salt and pepper too. If you’re feeling even more festive, I would recommend even adding basil to it as well.
Charcuterie Board

This is always my favorite part of wine night so I love to incorporate a pretty charcuterie board when I host events. This is always a super personal thing and I love to bring in some of my favorite cheeses with honey’s & jams for everyone to try with them. I also tried to bring in some Christmas colors to make it a little more festive.
Crackers are another staple and having some nice meats to pair with the cheeses is the perfect way to do it. Fruits such as: grapes, strawberries, and blueberries also pair well with the whole platter. It’s also a great way to sneak a strawberry into your champagne ?.
Valentina Christmas Cupcakes

Every year, I love to make my famous Christmas cupcakes! I always decorate them with little icing decorations.
Festive Drinks:
Christmas Egg Nog

Who doesn’t love a little egg nog during the holidays? My family happens to make the BEST egg nog (the recipe might be shared soon enough ?). Anyway, I decided to decorate the rim of my martini glasses with chocolate & crushed candy canes. It is a little messy, but it is soooo good.
Christmas Moscow Mule

This is your average Moscow mule, however, I did add sugar as well as rosemary and fresh cranberries! This was sooo delicious, I had to make it two more times throughout the party.
Red & Green Jello-Shots

10/10 I would recommend doing these the night before (yes, I know everyone does it like that, however, I FORGOT). ANYWAY, I made red and blue jello and put them in these cute little cups I found from Total Wine. I topped them off with some whipped cream (which everyone thought made them so much better!)

What do you think?
