Highlights from New York Fashion Week Spring 2017 Runway. New York Fashion Week brought true reality to their runways this year. First of all, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim got their non-model friends like: Rashida Jones, Jessica Williams, Natasha Lyonne, and Whoopi Goldberg to walk their show.

This was a change from past fashion shows, that I think everyone loved. Also, an Indian acid attack survivor challenged the perceptions of beauty as she walked the runway in a beautiful dress to promote a ban on the sale of corrosive substances that are used to maim thousands of women and children each year. The runway was full of powerful women and beautiful designs. These are some of our favorite from NYFW Spring 2016.
