My Travel Essentials.

Traveling is a part of my monthly agenda, whether it’s for work or leisure. For each trip, I always bring my favorite on-flight travel essentials. I’ve been asked what I usually take on my flights, so I thought I might as well make a post and share my go-to items…

Carry on: Britto Hearts Carnival

If there’s one thing to invest in, it’s a carry on as it’s an essential item when traveling. It’s actually super durable and of course chic, which also helps whenever I need to check it in as it’s easy to find. It also fits in the overhead cabins so that’s a plus. I love Romero Brito also, so the fact that the luggage is cute and travel ready is a plus!

Backpack: GG Blooms Backpack

This is probably one of my most extra items, but I love it. When looking for one, I had to remember everything I needed to fit in it: my laptop, camera, book, makeup bag, and some clothes. I saw this bag in the Gucci store when I was in Milan and just fell in love. It was the perfect size, and I knew I could use it on all my trips and stay looking fabulous.

Lips: Balm Dotcom

Dehydration is the one thing I face when traveling, so I see keeping a bottle of water on the flight also a key to flying. Keeping my lips hydrated is also important so I use Glossier’s Balm Dotcom. It’s a long-lasting and multipurpose lip balm that has antioxidants to nourish and repair dry skin. My favorite is the Birthday flavor.

Face: Real Fresh Green Tea Cleansing Stick

Being on a 15 hour flight can be brutal and rough on your skin. This Korean green tea cleansing stick is the perfect travel item and is an all-in-one cleanser. It has 13 natural oils to breakdown makeup, green tea leaves to exfoliate and a low ph to cleanse your skin. This will wash you of all that oil without drying your skin in the process, since it’s also a solid stick you know it won’t explode in your luggage.

Skin: L’Occitane Hand Cream

Going back to the dryness accompanied with flying, I always bring a small hand cream to help moisturize in flight. This is one of my favorites as it quickly absorbs all dryness and doesn’t leave you with sticky oily hands. It also smells good, so that’s a plus!

Eyes: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

This is a must for red-eye trips as those under-eye bags can sneak up on you quick. I keep this concealer in my makeup bag along with my cleansing stick, balm, and hand cream. It’s very slim and has high coverage so it’s great for traveling.

Facial Mask: Aloe Rescue Revitalizing Sheet Mask

This is a travel must, especially on those long flights. Infused with natural aloe vera extract, phytocollagen, and vitamin e, it soothes dryness, hydrates, and revitalizes your skin. The best part is that it’s 100% cruelty-free.

As Spring rolls in, sunglasses have become our go to accessory this season. As we go into an even hotter month in the weeks to come, we should all be up to date on the latest trends in the 2018 collections.

These glasses are some unforgettable pieces that will make a simple outfit pop. Although I’m more of a crystal-embellished kinda girl, I’ve featured other pairs that more low-key. Most of these aren’t for everyday use, but honestly that’s up to you!

Dolce & Gabbana 2018 Alta Moda Show Looks

Dolce & Gabbana’s 2018 Alta Moda (haute couture) collection had attendees from all over the world. Clients from Russia, the Middle East, China, and Great Britain all came together to view these exclusive couture looks.

The three-night extravaganza included a women’s collection showcase at The Metropolitan Opera House.

This show was the finale of the weekends Alta activities. The show took place at the Metropolitan Opera House and naturally the opera was one of the inspirations of the clothes that was presented. Similarly when designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana presented their couture collection at La Scala, the famous opera house in Milan, Italy.

The show had a beautiful display of patriotism to the USA. The collection was a beautiful tribute to New York City with every bit of sparkle and extravagance that you could expect from Dolce & Gabbana.  The Statue of Liberty was a beautiful symbol that could be seen throughout the collection. Times Square was also represented in photo prints that were showcased on a pair of silk pajamas. “God Save America” was also featured as Dolce & Gabbana celebrated America in their collection.

Naomi Campbell took the stage as she closed the show with a final spin in a black satin bustier and Times Square ball skirt. The festivities continued as fireworks flooded the skies and gold confetti filled the air. As the event of the year took place, we are all here wishing we could have been there to witness this lavish event.

At the dinner, a Met representative gave a toast to the designers. “Cole Porter was once asked what someone needed to do to be a star,” she said. “He replied simply: Sparkle.” If there is one quote to live by, this is it! I know I do! This is the philosophy which Dolce & Gabbana thrives on.

It has been said that the designers will have a similar event in Mexico City, where they will showcase an entirely new Alta Moda collection! For now, check out these spectacular looks. What’s your favorite look?

I tried to only post my favorite looks, but I loved them all!! hahahha
